Happiness is not a destination. It is a choice!
Hello Readers,
I hope you and your family are doing well.
Below I’m sharing what I read recently and it is quite profound. I hope you will also benefit.
Happiness is not a destination. It is a choice!
90% of people put their life and happiness on hold.
“When I make money, I will be happy.”
“When I get a job, I will be settled.”
“When I find a partner, I will not feel lonely.”
“When I pass that interview, everything will be okay.”
“When I have enough, I will start investing.”
When I…
Here is the uncomfortable truth:
If you aren’t happy with the small things you have, you will NEVER be happy with the big things, even if you get them.
It is quite possible that the thing you are waiting for to fix your life, isn't what your life needs. Or wants.
You can very well have a wonderful life without it, or with a different form of that thing.
But we convince ourselves that ONLY that thing will get us to where we want to be in life; blinding ourselves to everything else.
While growing up, I believed that getting into IIT was the ONLY way to be successful.
Going out of India to settle was the ONLY way to be successful.
Working 16-20 hrs a day was the ONLY way to be successful.
Building a unicorn startup was the ONLY way to be successful.
Today, I am wiser.
I know none of these are mandatory for success, and certainly not the only ways one can be successful.
Today, I am successful because I feel successful.
Because I am happy.
Because I have enough!
The book I’m reading this week.

It talks about human psychology and how people mostly hear and do not listen. The book gives you case studies where how situations can change if you just choose to listen.
Something new
I tried a South Indian dish for the first time- Curd Rice. It’s like curd with rice plus spices on it. It was a eccentric savor but not too suitable for my palate.
Until next time.
